Air Fryer Pizza (50g+ Protein)

Air Fryer Pizza (50g+ Protein)

Who says pizza can’t pull its weight in the protein department? This air fryer pizza is easy to make and gives you an easy 50g+ protein per serving, with no protein powder required. Forget the delivery guy; this pizza’s got gains.

What You’ll Need

  • 16 oz Sturdy Sauce Marinara (80g protein per jar)
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups bread flour or whole wheat flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (dry, low-moisture preferred)
  • Your favorite toppings like pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, and lean protein options such as grilled chicken or turkey pepperoni

How to Make It

Part 1: Prepare the dough.

  1. Mix warm water and yeast; let it sit for 1–2 minutes.
  2. Combine high-protein flour (like bread flour or whole wheat flour) and salt in a bowl, then slowly mix in the yeast water to form a dough.
  3. Knead on a lightly oiled surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.

Part 2: Get your toppings ready.

  1. Spread ready-made Sturdy Marinara Sauce (look for a high-protein option).
  2. Shred high-protein mozzarella or use part-skim cheese for a leaner option.
  3. Choose toppings like grilled chicken, turkey pepperoni, or other lean proteins. Add some veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrients.

Part 3: Assemble the pizza.

  1. Shape the risen dough into a 7–8 inch circle on parchment paper (no rolling pin needed).
  2. Spread the Sturdy Marinara Sauce evenly over the dough.
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella and add your toppings.

Part 4: Cook the pizza.

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Carefully place the pizza (with parchment paper) into the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 5–6 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.

Then, slice, serve, and revel in your high-protein, air-fried pizza with Sturdy Marinara Sauce. It’s a perfect balance of indulgence and nutrition minus the guilt. Tried this recipe? Share your results and favorite high-protein toppings with us!
