What You’ll Need 

  • 16 oz Sturdy Sauce Marinara
  • 1 ½ pounds of ground meat (beef, pork, turkey, or a mix)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup finely diced onion
  • ¼ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

 

How to Make It 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine the ground meat, egg, diced onion, almond flour, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatballs dense.
  3. Use a cookie scoop or your hands to form evenly sized meatballs, about 1 ½ inches in diameter. This recipe makes around 30 meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through. For extra browning, turn on the broiler for the last two minutes.
  5. To bring them all together, simply pour your Sturdy Marinara Sauce into a large pan, add the baked meatballs, and let them simmer in the sauce for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
